IBM add new tool to testing capabilities

IBM has taken over Ounce Labs although the terms of the acquisition
have not been made public. Ounce Labs provide tools aimed at managing
security risks and vulnerabilities as well as managing testing and
compliance issues.

Ounce Labs technology will be join the IBM Rational AppScan family of
Web application security and compliance testing solutions. This suite
of tools provides companies with a solution for dealing with security
risks and vulnerabilities in their software applications. By combining
the Ounce Labs technology with Rational tools, IBM can offer security
testing support throughout the full Software Development Life-Cycle
(SDLC).
