rate of success in their projects, according to experts addressing the
inaugural "Hong Kong Software Quality Assurance Conference" organized
by the Hong Kong Productivity Council (HKPC) on 18 August 2009
Speaking at the Conference's opening ceremony, Mr Edmund Sung,
Director (Business Consulting) of HKPC, said: "Software testing is an
essential step in software development. However, it is very often not
done adequately which results in project failures or system not being
fully functional. With systems delivered to the end-users loaded with
bugs, extra efforts are necessary to fix the problems."
He said: "In order to improve the project success rate, quality
enhancement is essential in every stage of all software development
projects. To this end, organisations are urged to establish an
internal Quality Assurance mechanism."
