Motorola to split into two companies

Motorola plans to split into two companies. Motorola's sales, who
created the mobile phone market 25 years ago, are in decline for the
past four quarters as Apple and Nokia are the company's main
competitors.

One company will focus on handsets and the other will sell network
equipment, cable TV set-top boxes and two-way radios - areas that are
profitable and growing faster.
