Choosing an Mp3 player is like almost straying into subjective territory. In fact, I've always believed that Mp3 players are somewhat of an acquired taste. But with such a glut of Mp3 players in the market, does your task of selection become any easier? Have you, by any chance, managed to get your hands on the RCA Mp3 player? For the record, the RCA Mp 3 player is both flash based as well as a hard drive based. The Mp3 player is compatible with an array of music formats like WMA, Mp3 and the like. There are several versions of the RCA Mp3 player to choose from. For those genetically engineered for sport, the RCA Sports Mp3 player is a must have. There's the weather update, sports as well as local news. You can record while listening in the Mp3 format and download the same on your computer. There's a sports arm-band, belt clip, USB cable, ear plugs and battery. The RCA Lyra Mp3 player is a hard drive based device that has the enviable ability to play 130 hours of music. Mac OSX 10.2 or higher or even Windows 98/ME/2000/XP are hardly a cause for concern for this Mp3 player. Now you know why the RCA Mp3 player is worth buying.

Physical Features
Plug-in style MP3 players have been a market trend from lately. To address this technology sense, RCA has introduced Pearl. However, RCA's intensions are not merely technology sense. Pearl is also catered for the budget conscious market, with two different versions of 1 GB and 2 GB.
If you have a special liking for those flashy colors, RCA Pearl would be your perfect partner in crime. It comes in shiny color options depending on its capacity. However, many users agree that if one is looking for a fashionable device, Pearl will not cater the purpose. The player is 3 inches tall and 1 inch wide by 0.8 thicknesses.
Technical Department
While supporting MP3, Pearl supports audible and WMA subscription services such as Yahoo Music Unlimited. The supporting features include an on-the-go playlist function, five EQ settings, a voice recorder and very good sound quality. The down side is that Pearl comes with a very small; just about 1 inch wide, monochrome LCD display. This means bad news to many people who are opting for multi functional devices as Pearl does not support photos, album art displays or videos. Pearl's wacky menu structure is another feature that is heavily criticized. It has two top menus instead of one. This result in small actions taking more time than it should due to confusion of how to get the device to function. Pearl is not intelligent enough to recognize songs in to an artist- album hierarchy. So if you want to be playing a particular track, this is one place where you will fall in trouble
