LG sales of touchscreen phones reach 7 million units

LG sales of touch screen phones reached 7 million units for the end of
the second quarter. LG were the world's first to introduce a full
touchscreen mobile, the Prada phone.

The top seller of LG's touch-based phone is the Viewty - a
professional level 5 megapixel camera phone, with 2 million units
sold.

Venus - a touch sensitive InteractPad, and Voyager handset that
incorporates a touch screen and a Qwerty keyboard sold 1.6 and 1.3
million units respectively.
